The information below is detailed and we ask that you review it carefully before preparing your drop off. By following these guidelines, the drop off process will go more quickly and efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you at Wild Child! :-)
OPEN DROP OFF FOR SPRING/SUMMER CLOTHING IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD. NEW Dates will be posted. Review the "Wish List" section of the website to see our high demand items.
During OPEN DROP off periods, you do not need an appointment, however, THERE IS A 20 ITEM CLOTHING LIMIT OF REGULAR EVERYDAY CLOTHING THAT IS NOT LISTED ON THE "WISH LIST" IN THE CLOTHING CATEGORIES. THERE IS NOT A LIMIT ON THE ITEMS LISTED ON THE WISH LIST. Please review the section below of items we are not currently accepting.
CURRENT CONSIGNORS: If you have greater than 20 items of clothing that is not listed on the wish list (remember, there is no limit to items listed on the wish list), please reach out via facebook or email BEFORE bringing your items in. Depending on the sizes/items, we may set up an appointment for you outside of regular store hours.
We are very stocked on toys...please contact the store prior to bringing toys to let us know what you have...review the "wish list" section of the website to see our items that are in high demand. The items on our wish list are accepted all year, however, if we are not in an OPEN DROP period, please contact us first and wait for a reply before bringing items in! Appointments can be scheduled outside of normal store hours, just ask! :-)
Being a consignor at Wild Child Consignment is easy and convenient and there is not a start up fee to consign with us! We have over 1,600 active consignors and add more daily! We have two Open Drop Off periods per year for clothing (mid Feb thru March Spring/Summer clothing; Aug/Sept-Fall/Winter clothing). Just follow the steps below and plan to spend approximately 20 minutes for your drop off. First time consignors will receive their consignor number and sign up in person at the store. We do have a fully stocked, gated playroom for kids to play in while you shop or wait for your drop off to be processed. We ask that you do not allow children to play with items for sale during drop offs, thank you! Here’s how it works:
We accept excellent condition and "new with tags" children's clothing (see accepted brands below), toys, furniture, and accessories from size newborn to size 16, as well as Mens size (Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, Hollister, and American Eagle) and Women's size mall brands (PINK, American Eagle, Forever 21, Hollister). We accept child related gear, furniture, equipment, and accessories as long as it is in NEW or LIKE NEW condition. We no longer accept bedding EXCEPT crib sheets and pack n play sheets. When you bring your items in, we will select what our customers will buy. Sometimes there will be items we cannot sell or items that we are overstocked on. Please understand that our customers’ preferences must be our selection guidelines.
READ THIS SECTION REGARDING BABY CLOTHING SIZE 3-9 MONTHS:
We get extremely stocked on baby clothing size 3month to 9month and are currently only accepting outfits that are new with tags in these sizes. Preemie and newborn sizes do not need to be new with tags. Please call ahead of time if you have these sizes and we can let you know what we are in need of. Thanks!
Our customers prefer brands such as Under Armour, Nike, Justice (up to size 10), Janie and Jack, Gap, Baby Gap, Children’s Place, Gymboree, Carter's (up to size 6), Cat&Jack (up to size 7-8), Pink, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Hollister, Adidas, Reebok,Puma, H&M, Columbia, North Face, Stride Rite, Osh Kosh, Cherokee, Matilda Jane, Boutique, and Official Sports Brands, among others. (We do not accept Garanimals, Faded Glory, Gerber, Route 66, or other Mart Brands)
In order to help you determine which items to bring, here are Items we are NOT looking for:
*jeans (unless soft and stretchy) or corduroy
*puffy vests and sweater vests
*fleece clothing or heavy sweaters
*Special Occasion Dresses (except for sizes 6-8, which we ARE looking for)
*First Communion Dresses
*plaid button down shirts or polo style knit shirts with collars
*dress pants (unless new with tags), school uniforms, plaid shorts,
*Sports equipment (helmets, bats, hockey gear)
*stuffed animals (unless a Disney or current cartoon character)
*bedding (except crib sheets and pack n play sheets, which we do accept)
*wall decor and lamps
*older boy/girl (size 4 and up) shoes
*strollers that have inflatable wheels
THESE ARE ITEMS WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR, THANKS!
Review the info below to help prepare your items prior to bringing them. Thank you!
1. All items must be LIKE NEW or NEW and completely free of stains and pet hair, and have no rips, excessive wear, tears, or pilling and may not smell like cigarette smoke.
2. All items must be freshly laundered—within the season of being brought in.
3. All children's items must be folded neatly into a laundry basket, or sturdy cardboard box (diaper boxes with cut out “handles” work great) that is light enough to be easily lifted above your head. Special occasion outfits (party dresses, etc.) can be brought in on hangers. PLEASE NO PLASTIC BAGS. This will ensure that your items stay neat and wrinkle free.
4. Please make sure that all buttons are snapped/buttoned and all zippers are zipped.
5. Please remove any yard sale or resale tags. “New from store” tags should remain on items whenever possible.
6. It is helpful for us if you separate boys’ clothing from girls’ clothing in your bin/box.
7. Please wash removable fabric pieces before bringing in.
8. Toys and other non-clothing items must be clean and in complete working order, with no broken pieces. All pieces and working batteries must be present. Please bring the original box and packaging if you have it as it will help your items to sell more quickly!
All items must meet today's safety standards. We will give back to you any items which are recalled. You can check for item recalls online at www.cpsc.gov.
All items are on consignment, which means that you will receive a portion of the sale once your item(s) sell(s) (40-50% plus additional discounts if you use your money as store-credit to make purchases!). You can check your account at any time by clicking on the "Consignor Account Login" box at the top of this page and using the consignor number that was issued to you when you signed your Consignor Agreement. You can choose to use your money in the store as store credit (and receive an additional discount off your total purchase!), or we can issue cash/check/Zelle anytime! You are welcome to pick up your money any day that we are open or send an email to the store with your first/last name and current address if you would like a check to be mailed. We can also Zelle you your money, which is our preferred form of payment. Zelle is used directly from bank to bank (not an outside app), is deposited into your account within minutes, and reduces paper.
There are 2 "Open Drop Off" periods per year at Wild Child. Spring/Summer items are accepted during the month of February/March. Most Spring/Summer clothing will be priced during the months of April/June. Fall/Winter items are accepted August/September. Most Fall/Winter clothing will be priced during the months of October-December. Toys/Books/Games/Etc. are priced on an as needed basis. Items dropped off outside of the "open drop off" periods will be priced on an as needed basis. The pricing/displaying process is done by CATEGORY, so you may see some of your items show up on your account, while others may have not been priced yet. Everything is eventually priced/displayed. If you do not see an item on your account when you log in, it just means that it has not been priced yet. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Items stay on your account until they sell. Clothing is displayed seasonally. We may hold unsold items from one season to the next, in which case, they will continue to be tagged under your consignor number when they are placed back on the sales floor. If you are contacted via email to pick up any unsold items or specified items that are not able to be accepted during drop off, we ask that you please pick up your items within 1 week of being contacted. If you do not wish to pick up items after receiving an email from us, or do not contact us within 1 week of receiving an email, items will become the property of Wild Child Consignment and may be donated to one of our favorite children's charities.
